Research on Construction and Application of Ocean Circulation Spatial–Temporal Ontology

Due to the absence of a comprehensive knowledge system for modeling ocean circulation, there is ambiguity and diversity in semantic expression circulation. This makes it difficult organize share relevant spatiotemporal data effectively. paper addresses issue circulation by introducing ontological theory methodology based on analysis domain knowledge. Through conceptual relational characteristics different elements, we define classes, properties, relationships, inference conditions with which formally express concepts relationships finally complete construction ontology. The formal Equatorial Counter Current presented as an example validate effectiveness construction. Additionally, ontology-based base proposed. framework described, several examples queries are also illustrated. results demonstrate that this ontology can effectively represent within provide meaningful reference investigating sharing integration field.
